Lotus Support Groups

Welcome!

I am so excited to offer my new Lotus Group Coaching Program! After five years of counseling/coaching people coming out later in life I know what works!

I will be hosting our mutual support groups and meditation, plus, welcoming you into the program with an initial call so I can determine the best way to help you.

My role is to be a guide, a companion, someone who understands.

My Signature Lotus Group Coaching Program is for any cisgender and trans woman who is in the process of questioning, coming out, or on the “other side” of this experience.

The Lotus Support Groups are run in collaboration with two amazing later-in-life peeps who bring so much experience and knowledge to Lotus Group Coaching.

Barb Rowlandson is our relationship coach. She will help those navigating/recovering from a catalyst or first LGBTQIA+ relationship. She will also be helping with all the questions regarding dating and those dreaded apps! Barb jokes there isn’t one she hasn’t been on.

Linda Moore is an energy healer/teacher and you will be able to work with Linda to remove blocked energy and become more connected to your authentic self. Trust us – it works!

What is most powerful is our groups. Meeting with other courageous women who are part of this experience is life altering and we have several opportunities to meet every week. You are not ALONE. You have coaches (who get it, and have been through it) and a community that understands and is waiting to help, guide, and love you through this experience.

Finding other people who are in the same process, sharing our stories, and talking about our kids can be life giving to us as we navigate this challenging time of our life.

What My Clients Have to Say About Coaching & Support Groups

I highly recommend Anne-Marie’s coaching and support groups.  She not only helped me through my personal journey to accept myself, to find and live my authentic life, but she also helped me see larger issues.  She helped me realize the difference between those in my life who might “accept” me and those who embraced me.  It is a hard journey for anyone, but making it late in life has some added stress because you have to dismantle parts of your old life in the process.  I do not know if I would have been able to make this journey without coaching from Anne-Marie and the community she provided me through the support group.

    – SO

“All the wisdom is within us, so the ‘jewel,’ the ‘treasure,’ is in us—and we are the lotus flower.” – Anjie Cho

A Perfect Metaphor for Our Later in Life Journey

    Why the Lotus?

For centuries, the lotus flower has been depicted in different religions and countries around the world. Miraculously growing in the murkiest of conditions, the lotus is a symbol that’s revered for its resilience, and of course, its beauty. Naturally occurring in many countries in Southeast Asia and Australia, they’re also found in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, as well as folklore in ancient Greece.

The lotus in Hinduism represents the womb of the universe from which all things are born, as well as overcoming adversity.  Lotuses only grow in really swampy areas, so that symbolizes this idea that out of ugliness and destruction and unrest, we can all come together in this perfect moment. In Buddhism it represents connection and in that respect, it also has an indirect relation to the Buddhist idea of the universal soul.

Also known as the water or white lily in Christianity,  the lotus flower is blessed with the ability to open in the morning, and close during the night. This says a lot about regeneration and rebirth. In Christianity, this can also be seen as the inner strength and the determination to come out of any difficulties.

In essence, across many civilizations, the lotus is regarded as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration, and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower.
