Coming Out & Beyond: LGBTQIA+ Stories | Season 4 Episode 23 | Amanda Farat

This week we welcome Amanda Ferrat to the Coming Out & Beyond: LGBTQIA+ Podcast!

Amanda is the founder of Value Yourself Counseling. Amanda is a certified advanced EFT Tapping Practitioner, wellness counselor, and international speaker. For two decades, Amanda has supported others with various needs in the field of human development and social services, including those in crisis or healing from trauma. Amanda now helps women and teens that feel lost or out of sync with themselves get back to a place of deep self-knowing, unburdened by guilt or shame.

Amanda supports them on their journey to empower their “inner badness” by combining her empathy, knowledge, lived experience, passion, and professional skills to create safer, braver spaces, deeper healing and personal growth. Amanda identifies as a fat, Queer, neurodivergent, disabled woman, and wants to show the world that those with marginalized identities deserve to be seen, heard and safe within their community.

Amanda’s coming out song is Meghan Trainor’s “BadAss Woman.” https://youtu.be/z6tjkL1kZBI?si=BkxdQoga4AB5JDBYhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/z6tjkL1kZBI

A movie that has inspired Amanda is Labyrinth, which first intrigued her because of David Bowie’s gender non-conformity.
